According to Skysports.com, Burnley are one of a number of Championship clubs to be linked with a move for striker and midfielder, Jay Emmanuel-Thomas.

It is understood his current club, Arsenal have agreed terms with a number of clubs withand that Burnley, Ipswich and Portsmouth could be leading the way for his signature.

The 20-year-old came through Arsenal’s famed academy, but he has only played once for the senior side. Emmanuel-Thomas has spent most of his time away from the Emirates out on loan but has impressed during spells at Blackpool, Doncaster and Cardiff over the last three years.

Skysports understand the Gunners are now set to let him move on for around £1 million but with a large sell-on fee.

It is thought the player could make a decision about his future early next week.
