Burnley are awaiting the loan market to open on Thursday next week with Clarets fans hoping we can add to the squad following a disappointing summer transfer window which closed on Tuesday night.

Stoke defender, Ryan Shotton has already been linked with a loan move to Turf Moor after the club failed to bring him in on a permanent deal during the transfer window.

The latest speculation regards a possible loan move for 19 year old, Bolton striker, Tom Eaves.

Burnley were linked with a move for him during Laws tenure last August after being in a battle with Bolton to sign him from Oldham Athletic. In the end not unsurprisingly he joined the Premier League outfit but Owen Coyle has still to give him his first team debut.

Eaves joined Oldham Athletic’s Centre of Excellence as a youth player at Under-15 age group having previously played for Crewe Alexandra at youth level. He made just 15 appearances for Oldham before joining Bolton for an undisclosed fee, thought to be in the region of £350,000 on the 12th August 2010. Coyle had probably been impressed with the lad after he scored a hat-trick against his Bolton side in a pre-season friendly in July 2010; one month before he moved to the Reebok after agreeing a three-year deal.
