VladimĂr Weiss, the Manchester City 19 year old midfielder has today been linked with a possible loan move to Turf Moor. Stoke City are also believed to be interested.

The Slovakian international, who will be 20 later this month has struggled for opportunities in the City first team this season being an unused substitute and only tasting action in the Carling Cup games.

He made his debut for City against Bolton at the end of last season, coming on from the bench. Weiss completed his first 90 minutes in Manchester City’s 1-0 victory against FC Barcelona in front of 94,000 fans at the Camp Nou, in the Joan Gamper Trophy

Born in Bratislava he made his international debut for Slovakia earlier this year back in August in a friendly against Iceland, a game that finished 1-1. His father incidentally, who has the same name is the Slovakian head coach.

Weiss is highly rated and still seems to be firmly in Mark Hughes plans. It is understood Hughes wants to send the attacking midfielder and right winger out on loan to give him first team experience with a top flight club.
