28 year old, Everton forward James McFadden would appear to be on Eddie Howe`s radar according to Sky Sports. McFadden is thought to be keen to go out on loan to get some regular first-team action and it is reported that a number of clubs have been alerted to his possible availability.

In October last year, McFadden at the time a free agent, signed for Everton for a second time penning a contract until the end of the 2011-12 season but the Scotland international has made just one start for the Toffees against Tamworth in the FA Cup plus two brief substitute appearances in the Premier League

The Glaswegian started his professional career at Motherwell after coming through their youth system. David Moyes then paid £1.25 million to bring him to Everton the first time round in 2003. He eventually left Goodison Park in January 2008 to join Birmingham City on a three-and-a-half-year deal, with an option for additional two years, for an initial fee of £5 million (potentially rising to £6m depending on appearances). He could not agree a contract extension at St Andrews and left in June 2011 when his contract expired.

McFadden is widely admired although he is not a particularly prolific goal scorer scoring on average about 1 goal in every 4-5 games.
