The Clarets have been linked with a loan move for 20 year old, Liverpool striker,Nathan Eccleston.

Eccleston came through Liverpool’s youth team.He has made two appearannces for the Reds. The Newton Heath-born striker made his competitive debut in October 2009, in the League Cup match against Arsenal after coming on as a late substitute for Philipp Degen.

He then made his league debut, again as a late substitute, a few days later against Fulham.

In January 2010, he joined League One side Huddersfield Town on a month’s loan and in February, Liverpool announced that the loan deal had been extended until May 2010.

After making 12 appearances for The Terriers, starting 4 times and scoring once but also being sent off once, he returned to Anfield.

Liverpool gaffer,Roy Hodgson is thought to be happy to loan out Eccleston in January in order to further his education since he is considered a future prospect at Anfield.

Premier League clubs West Brom and Wigan are also thought to be interested though along with current Championship league leaders,Queens Park Rangers
