As previously announced Burnley would not be going on any exotic tours abroad this summer with Eddie Howe keen to play his warm-up games in England. We were however notifed that there would be a mini-tour of the South West of England in the summer after previously announcing we would be playing Bristol Rovers on the 19th July.

We were just awaiting news of one further friendly game to be played in the South West and this week it was confirmed that Clarets fans would now have an opportunity to travel to the seaside!

Yes, Burnley will travel to Torquay United for a pre-season friendly on Saturday, July 23.

The match will kick off at 3pm and will follow the Clarets’ fixture at Bristol Rovers on the 19th.

Admission prices will be £10 (adults), £5 (Over 65s and students) and £1 (U16s).

The Gulls just missed out on promotion this season narrowly losing out 1-0 to Stevenage in the League Two play off final at Old Trafford last weekend.
