Brian Laws recently confirmed that winger, Fernando Guerrero had no future with Burnley FC.

The Ecuador international was brought to Turf Moor by Owen Coyle last summer on loan from Independiente del Valle but has struggled to make any impact in the Clarets first team.

Guerrero was highly rated by Coyle and it had been hoped he would be good enough to sign permanently at the end of this season.

The former Castilla player (Real Madrid Reserves)thoough is now looking for other opportunities in the Football League.

Laws is hoping to have come to an arrangement involving the 20-year-old over the next seven days. Guerrero’s parent club, Independiente del Valle would have to agree to another loan but if that is approved it is understood that Middlesbrough could be interested in bringing the player to the Riverside Stadium.
