Vital Burnley are always looking out for opportunities to increase awareness of the site, so we can increase the number of site hits under our ‘Hit the Site, Help the Club` campaign. Our hits increase simply by visiting the site and reading our articles. You can also be interactive on the site by commenting on the articles, debating issues in our multi-forums and voting in our polls. All this helps to raise money without any financial contribution from our readers and posters

The more hits we receive, the more money we receive from the Vital owners. Most of that money goes towards the Clarets Trust so they can buy shares in Burnley Football Club thus also benefitting the club financially and giving the Trust a bigger say in how the club is run. . So far we have raised in excess of £2500 for this cause.

One way to get wider exposure is through sponsorship and support of other Clarets organisations and today Vital Burnley is proud to announce that we will now be supporting and sponsoring the Burnley Former Players Association (FPA) at some of the organisation`s future events.

The BFPA is an independent non profit-making organisation governed by a Constitution and managed by former players and others with specific skills. Former players working for the organisation include John Francis, Roger Eli and Ian Britton.

They provide a comprehensive range of Health & Welfare support to all former Burnley players and not just retired players. In addition to their primary purpose, their operations also include running the “Vintage Clarets” charity football team, organising sporting & social events, supporting other charitable & community events, maximising commercial opportunities for former players, and developing links with Burnley Football Club, the business community and Burnley supporters among many other things.

You can read more about the organisation by visiting their website:

In recognition of our new sponsorship you will now see a banner added to our pages which will come up on a rotating basis with the other organisations we support.

In return the Burnley FPA will now provide appropriate links on their website pages to the Vital Burnley website which will hopefully increase awareness of the site.

Our website will also feature at future Burnley FPA events that we will support as Associate Sponsors.

Vintage Clarets May Tour in Germany

Our first sponsorship will be to support the ‘Vintage Clarets` tour to Germany scheduled to take place in May. The highly competitive veterans` football tournament will encompass a number of games at the 35th Annual Football Tournament, to be held over the weekend 26 to 28 May 12 at Hammer Spielvereinigung 03/04, Hamm, Germany. The highly regarded competition will include a number of veteran teams from a multitude of European nations, including former international players from Spain and Germany. The Vintage Clarets will be taking 14 former Burnley FC first team players to the tournament. Former players already confirmed for the tour include Clarets fans favourites Roger Eli, John Francis, Andy Farrell, John Deary and Nathan Peel. Exclusive interviews during the tour will be recorded in high definition (HD) for viral broadcast on the official BurnleyFC.com and BurnleyFPA.com websites as well as the BFPA YouTube.com channel and Vital Burnley will now be advertised during these interviews as part of our sponsorship deal.
