Burnley’s Championship season continued with a draw at the Cardiff City Stadium against Cardiff on Saturday.

Having been two-down, when Gunnarsson and Morrison scored, Burnley battled back to draw through Hennings and a Connolly own goal in a two-two with Cardiff in the Championship on Saturday.

Cardiff were in control in the opening exchanges with recent arrival Watt going close with Burnley ‘keeper Heaton, against his former, making saves to deny the Bluebirds the lead.

The best chances for the Clarets went to Boyd with a goal line clearance from Cardiff defender Connolly denying him with another effort deflected over before the home side broke through when Gunnarsson (41) headed home ahead of half time.

Morrison (64) doubled the lead in the second half when he headed home with Burnley seemingly on for defeat before a late Hennings (85), who had come off the bench, goal got them back into the game.

An unlikely point was secured when Keane’s headed was put into his own net by Connolly (90) in injury-time to see the Clarets come away with a point!

This point kept Burnley in fifth and made it nine-matches unbeaten.
