Striker, Alex Macdonald has made a loan move to struggling League 2 side,Plymouth Argyle

The 21 year old will be available to play for the Pilgrims until Argyle’s League Two clash with AFC Wimbledon on 6 March and will be hoping to help them move away from the relegation zone with the club currently second from bottom.

MacDonald, a Scotland Under-21 international has made just one start for the Clarets this season in the Carling Cup clash away to Cardiff City but he has also made several appearances from the bench.

This will be the third time he has gone out on loan having previously had spells at Falkirk and Inverness. It had been thought he could join his colleague, Kevin Long at Rochdale on loan but it would appear no enquiry was made by John Coleman.
