Another Brentford Raid?

Jota, part of the Brentford side beaten by Blackburn on Sunday, which wasn’t enough to keep Burnley’s rivals in the Championship, is being targeted by the Clarets, along with Swansea, according to Get West London.

Hit contract at Griffin Park was due to expire at the end of the season but the option Brentford held on a new one year deal has been triggered, so any interest in the Spanish winger would involve a fee being paid.

Burnley are no strangers to raids on our former Championship rivals mind, both Andre Gray and James Tarkowski have arrived at Turf Moor from Brentford most recently, so a one year extension would keep Jota under contract with the west London side but doesn’t give them too much leeway.

An impressive second half to the season, following his December recall from a season-long loan deal at Eibar, has seen Jota, 25, bag himself 12 goals setting up a number of others, all of which has caught the eye of Sean Dyche apparently?

He certainly caught my eye, but then he was only playing against Blackburn and Brentford lost. Still, I put my faith in SD to judge if he has Prem potential. UTC
