20 year-old Burnley midfielder Archie Love this month joined Conference Premier side, FC Halifax Town on loan until the end of the season. He made his senior debut for Neil Aspin’s Shaymen on Saturday against Milton Keynes Dons in the FA Cup first round after coming on from the bench to replace Dan Gardner.

Talking about his move and first senior game, Love said:

“I want to put in as much as I can, obviously now that I am playing professional football the three points are what you want. So I want to contribute as much as I can and offer my whole game really.”

“I couldn`t wait I was looking forward to it so much, I just wanted it to come really, I met up with the lads Thursday night training and went down Friday with them. I have always wanted to do it, 15 minutes was good enough and now I just want to get more minutes.”

“I`ve come to get game time really, it`s about experience just playing professional football really and getting some minutes”

“They are a great group of lads, they have just took me like one of their own really straight into the team. I couldn`t have asked for anything more from them really to be honest with you. I felt welcome and I felt like I just felt like I`d been there since preseason really.”

Love signed his first professional contract for Burnley in the summer of 2012 but has yet to make his first team debut for the Clarets.
