Steven Caldwell is expected to be out of action for up to a month.

Our captain has suffered on-and-off from a niggling groin strain all season and he limped off again recently in the game against Wolves at Molineux just before Christmas.

It is understood he will now be sidelined for at least three weeks although his injury could take longer to recover.

There is better news though for Clarke Carlisle who also limped off in the same match against Wolves with a similar injury. He is currently back in training and could be in contention for our FA Cup third round clash against league One side, MK Dons at the stadium:mk this Saturday.
