Burnley are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Andre Gray in the two nil victory over Bolton Wanderers at the weekend at Turf Moor was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Gray was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Gray struck both goals for Burnley as they defeated Bolton Wanderers 2-0 to move up to fifth in the Sky Bet Championship table. The Clarets front man showed his poaching prowess, reacting quickest to a rebound to put his side in front, and he added a well-taken second to clinch the points.’

It’s always good to see us represented in this way, and well played to Gray for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the three points.

Full Team:

Jesse Joronen (Stevenage), Donervorn Daniels (Wigan), Adam Webster (Portsmouth), Ian Evatt (Chesterfield), Bobby Grant (Fleetwood), Alex Gilliead (Carlisle), Ben Reeves (MK Dons), Alan Judge (Brentford), Shaun Miller (Morecambe), Andre Gray (Burnley), Chris Martin (Derby).

Manager – Steve Cotterill (Bristol City).
