The Clarets` leading scorer, Danny Ings has been shortlisted for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Year award along with Leeds United`s Ross McCormack and Leicester City`s Danny Drinkwater.

Ings has been in superb form for the Clarets this season and to date has scored 25 goals in all competitions also linking well with strike partner, Sam Vokes. He was also rewarded at international level too making his debut this season for Gareth Southgate’s England Under 21 side.

The winner will be announced on Sunday evening at the Football League Awards ceremony at ‘The Brewery’ in London.

The Sky Bet Player of the Year awards have been voted for by managers of the clubs in each division. Each manager was asked to list their top five players from this season in order, with the scores added up to get a shortlist and an overall winner.
