Following yesterday’s clash between Burnley and Swansea City, here are the instant reactions from both managers.

Burnley hosted Swansea City at Turf Moor for a 3pm kick off on Saturday November 18, with the hosts taking a two nil victory following first half goals from Jack Cork and Ashley Barnes.

Teams:

Burnley:

Pope, Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Ward, Berg Gudmundsson, Defour, Cork, Brady, Hendrick (Vokes 80), Barnes.

Substitutes:

Taylor, Westwood, Wells, Lindegaard, Long, Arfield.

Swansea:

Fabianski, Naughton, Fernandez, Mawson, Olsson, Fer (Ki Sung-yueng 70), Clucas, Renato Sanches, Dyer, Abraham (Narsingh 82), J Ayew (Bony 45).

Substitutes:

van der Hoorn, Nordfeldt, Carroll, Routledge.

Speaking to the BBC’s cameras a short time after match day referee Martin Atkinson blew the final whistle, Burnley manager Sean Dyche explained.

‘The first goal came from our keeper working our way down the field to score. We played pockets of fantastic football to see the game through.’

He added.

‘My way of managing is giving the best way to win and it’s a very long season but I’m pleased with the start.’

Swansea City manager Paul Clement in his comparitive interview explained.

‘We had a bright start but when we conceded the first goal it affected our confidence. Our confidence is clearly on a downward spiral. Burnley are very good at making you make errors and capitalising on them. As a side, we are playing under our potential and I have to find a way to break this cycle. We have to find a way to grind out a win and get the best out of our players.’
