Manager Sean Dyche has reflected positively on the point Burnley took from their trip to Hull City on Saturday.

Making the trip to the KCOM Stadium for the first of four straight games on opposition turf, Burnley fell behind as Hull won themselves a penalty for a handball from Michael Keane in the 72nd minute, but four minutes later Keane popped up at the other end to tie the scores up once more.

Speaking to the Official Site in his post game press conference, Dyche had been pleased with many aspects of our play on the day and he felt that a point was fully justified.

‘It was a deserved point and it`s about time a twist of fate came our way. We created some good opportunities, and the final chance was just missing from our game at times. But in the general flow of the game we were on the front foot and I was pleased with that.’

As for the penalty, Dyche felt it was certainly a harsh decision, explaining.

‘The penalty is an interesting one because Keano`s arm gets pushed upwards – not deliberately – by Harry Maguire and into the ball. That`s a tough one for the referee and a tough one to take. But the reaction from the players was fantastic and especially for our fans, who backed us here magnificently and saw their players give everything, once again. I couldn`t be more proud of that.’

With Ashley Barnes receiving two yellow cards on the day seeing him sent from the field, Dyche again felt it was a harsh decision ultimately.

‘I was only disappointed in the red card. The second is a yellow card, but for the first one, following the penalty award, Ashley goes to the ref, who said he ran at him. Barnesy is not the quickest, so I don`t think he could have run at him that aggressively! He went over to just say that it wasn`t a penalty and there are no harsh verbals, so that was harsh for me.’

With Robbie Brady assisting Keane from the corner, Dyche spoke about the goal and the general performance on the day.

‘We can still add more quality, but for actual will and demand that was different class and it`s a fine finish from Michael. We know he has a goal in him and he took it fantastically well, to stay calm, chest it down and smash it in. I was just so pleased because Hull are a side that are well talked about, at the moment, for the fact they are playing well. Resilience is so important when you are on the road and I don`t think there is any lack of that.’
