Eddie Howe is reportedly looking at a loan move for Coventry City’s Gael Bigirimana.
The 18 year old Burundi-born midfielder came through the Sky Blues youth system before signing his first professional contract for the club last summer. Bigirimana wil now be at the club at least until June 2013.
He made his professional debut on 8 August 2011 playing the full 90 minutes in a 1-0 Championship loss to Leicester City and he has since made over 15 appearances for Coventry City.
Although described as a central midfielder, it would appear he is far more versatile than that!
Coventry City Academy Manager Gregor Rioch is quoted as saying:
‘He can play absolutely anywhere. He’s a footballer but we look at him as an Essien-type of footballer in central midfield, sat in front of the back four who can pick the ball up and play.’
