There is some good news for Andre Bikey, Cameroon and Burnley FC today.
Bikey was injured in the first few minutes of the game at ‘The Den’ on Saturday against Millwall. He went down holding his ribs and after treatment carried on for a few minutes more before having to be substituted. The fear was he may have broken a rib and he was taken to a hospital in London last night for checks.
Scans though revealed he had no breaks and was simply suffering from bad bruising.
Bikey will now be able to join up with his Cameroon team mates in the International break in preparation for their African Cup of Nations qualifier to be played on home soil against DR Congo on Saturday 9th October.
The news also means he will be fit and ready to play in our next game against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Saturday 16th October.
