The Clarets are reportedly interested in bringing Costa Rican international, Arsenal striker Joel Campbell to Turf Moor according to the Daily Mail. It is thought that Sean Dyche could offer the 22 year old a loan deal in the January window which is now open and give the lad more regular Premier League games. Campbell spent the past three seasons out on loan to clubs in Continental Europe including FC Lorient, Real Betis and Olympiacos. He had a good World Cup and began to make a few appearances for the Arsenal first-team this season but so far he has only managed to notch up four appearances in the top flight all of them from the bench. Campbell though did make his first Arsenal start in the third round of the League Cup back in September in the 1-2 home defeat against Southampton.

Campbell started his career with Deportivo Saprissa after coming through their youth system. Arsenal confirmed they had signed the striker who can also play as a winger on a five-year deal in August 2011 but it took two years for him to obtain a work permit. In the mean time until the official paperwork was received in July 2013 he spent time out on loan to FC Lorient and Real Betis.
